Born Learning Academy

Born Learning is an early childhood family engagement program created, sponsored and funded by United Way and Toyota. The Academy sessions are targeted to families with children birth to five and expectant parents. Each event includes a family dinner, child care activities, a parent training, parent/child time, prizes and take home materials. Families learn about early childhood development and their important role in supporting their child's success and lifelong learning. Each session builds upon prior knowledge and session topics include the following:


Oct. 16th - 5:30-7:30 - Launch and Series Overview

Nov. 27th - 5:30-7:00 - Building Relationships

Jan. 22nd - 5:30-7:00 - Ready to Read! Building Your Child's Language Skills

Feb. 19th - 5:30-7:00 - Nutrition and Health

March 26th - 5:30-7:00 - How Children Learn

April 9th - 5:30-7:30 - Learning On the Go! and Graduation
