State Convention Information

Beta Convention is quickly approaching! We will have a meeting in Ms. Bukowski's room, Monday 10/26 at 11:25. During that time we will discuss all things Beta Convention. Before the meeting on Monday we wanted to give everyone some time to take a look at a few things so students can come to the meeting prepared. Convention this year is January 24-26 in Lexington at the Central Bank Center.
First: Because we will not be staying in a hotel and will be traveling back and forth each day, the cost for convention for each student will be $50, this will pay for their registration fee, a Beta shirt, and a trading pin. Below is a link to pay for the convention. Please discuss whether your student is attending or not before paying; we cannot give a refund. These fees will be due November 20th.

Second: This is the sign-up link for convention competitions: https://forms.gle/4tBBcdQ67Fe9w7ZWA. Take a look and please start getting an idea of what you want to do at or for Convention. Please be mindful that some things happen before, some happen at convention, and some are prepared before convention and presented at convention. All of it requires time taken outside of school to be completed. This link is for the Handbook https://support.betaclub.org/support/solutions/153000297080, some competitions have changed so please make sure to take a look before signing up for something.  Just signing up does not guarantee getting to take part in a competition if multiple people sign up for one competition we will have people compete to see who gets to take their project to convention.

Third: If you are a new member and have not paid your Beta Dues yet please do so before signing up for Convention. We need to register new members before we can sign them up for Convention. Beta dues are $40 and can be paid on My School Bucks or in the front office, if you pay in the front office please make sure to tell Ms. Bukowski or I that you paid! This is for new members only!
